Welcome to Argentum Counselling

Empowered therapy helps you heal, rebuild and change

Overcome life's challenges with Argentum Counselling for lasting change and a happier life. I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and a member of BACP, helping to empower you to work together toward positive change. My supportive and therapeutic environment enables teenagers and adults to see transformative results across various issues, from anxiety and depression, work burnout and eating disorders to relationship issues and neurodiversity.

Your therapeutic journey starts with observing to learn precisely where you are. Facing the vast uncertainty of the future creates ongoing challenges, and that's why recovery begins with being in the present moment. With Argentum Counselling, you move to the present and create space to bring all parts of yourself into the here and now. As your sense of self begins to change, a new perspective is revealed, and a well of energy propels you forward.

I am a fully qualified therapeutic counsellor registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I deal with diverse issues and specialise in working with neurodiverse clients from, adults and young people (13+) with Autism, ADD, ADHD, Asperger's, speech and language needs, with Dyslexia.

My background was working as a Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistant for twelve years in secondary schools. Then as a Mental Health Lead for inner London secondary school, I helped young people with special educational needs reach their full potential. I have worked closely with local authorities, NHS and social care to safeguard everyone in my care. In 2016 I qualified as a therapeutic counsellor and opened my South London practice therapy room Argentum Counselling in 2019. The name 'Argentum' means silver in Latin – according to alchemy silver is the last stage before impure metal turns into gold. I believe this equates to the benefits of psychotherapy to a person's life.

Using a combination of integrative therapeutic approaches, I help develop insight into individual behaviours, thinking patterns, emotional intelligence, personal values and relational attachments to transform the inner world of my clients, which in turn changes their outer world. The journey between therapist and client is a collaboration of togetherness and is transformative through learning new skills, strategies and habits so clients embrace a journey of growth and healing.

Get In Touch

I offer a FREE 20-30 consultation phone call or online session so that you can ask questions, and I can assess your needs. I can talk you through the counselling process and what to expect, and you can then decide if you want to proceed to therapy.

During your first session, I conduct an in-depth assessment where I ask questions about the difficulties and challenges you face and your therapy goals, including asking questions about your family life (current and past), habits, interests, work life and medical history.

Further sessions are based on agreed times and dates. I may sometimes ask you to paint or draw or undertake tasks or homework as part of my work is experienced in working with dreams (dream diaries), fantasies and active imagination. Your final session is an opportunity to do an exit assessment and get feedback on what worked effectively.

Sessions: Face-to-face weekly counselling sessions that last 50 minutes take place in my London therapy room near Clapham Common underground station. I also offer online face-to-face therapy via Skype. Cost £60.00 per person.
